The Story Behind SandraJourney
My hand was crushed in an accident, but my hope never faded. This is the story of how I found the courage to start over, embrace technology, and build a new future one step at a time

About the autor
Hi, I’m Sandra Puspita—just call me Sandra. I was born and raised in Indonesia, on Sumatra. It’s one of Indonesia’s beautiful islands that was almost left to ruin by the UUPPSS leaders… SORRY… HEHE Welcome to SandraJourney.
I created this website as a place to document my learning journey. Not because I’m an expert yet, but because I believe every small step is worth recording. I really love learning about many things, especially art, sewing, technology, web development, cybersecurity, content creation, design, and foreign languages—especially English.I’m self-taught in all of these because I haven’t had a higher education yet—but I hope to soon—and every now and then I share stories about my hobbies and life experiences. Sorry if my English isn’t perfect yet.
I have a disability—my left arm was amputated below the elbow due to a traffic accident in 2016.At the time, I had just finished my day job in the afternoon, and as evening approached, I went on to my second job—or what’s now called a “side hustle”—which was selling Naruto jackets, since Naruto was all the rage back then.
To make a long story short, I had a male customer who wanted to buy one of my jackets—a black jacket with a red wave pattern. It turned out that the person I thought was a customer was actually a predator. I was nearly assaulted—he tried to manipulate me. To make a long story short, I fled on my motorcycle and fell onto the road that night because someone tried to snatch the bag I was carrying on my arm. I was thrown onto the highway and my hand was run over by a cement mixer truck. Strangely, I didn’t cry or scream; I just prayed that my mom and older brother would accept my passing, but it turns out I’m still here, hihihi—thank you, God.
This is my first website; I cried while fixing the syntax errors 😭😅.
To those of you who are struggling, keep fighting—the world needs you. Step out of the darkness of lost hope. May we continue to learn and grow together. — Sandra.
